Columbia County Among Top 10 Most "Financially Healthy Counties"

For the second year in the row, Columbia County’s 2.8% unemployment rate is the lowest in the state. In a separate study by SmartAsset, Columbia County scored in the top 10 of financially healthy counties in New York, based on its residents’ poverty rates, bankruptcies and debt.

It is because of Columbia County's strong conservative management and Republican leadership on the Board of Supervisors that we stand prominently in this list of the 10 most financially healthy counties in New York State. Chairman of the Board of Supervisors and Budget Officer Matt Murell and County Treasurer PJ Keeler, among others, have built a financial management team that has reformed and improved the way Columbia County does business.

The committee to re-elect PJ Keeler Columbia County Treasurer will host a Campaign Kickoff Buffet Breakfast on Thursday, February 21st from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM at Kozel's Restaurant on Route 9H in Ghent.
